How to make these Vegan Buddha Cakes

To prepare your Zen-like meal, start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Then, get ready for the easy part: throw the Tofu, Water Chestnuts, Tamari, and Green Onions into a food processor and pulse until fine. Then, add all the rest of the ingredients and process until smooth.

Now comes the fun part: spoon out the mixture into patties and place them on a parchment paper covered baking sheet. Then, bake for 40 – 45 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and firm to the touch. Once they’re ready, serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy the peace and tranquility that comes with each bite.

Are Vegan Buddha Cakes good for you?

Not only are these Vegan Buddha Cakes delicious, but they’re also packed with nutritious ingredients that will make you feel like a true enlightened master. Firm tofu provides plant-based protein, while nut butter adds healthy fats, protein, and fiber, helping to reduce inflammation in the body. The addition of Tamari, green onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and parsley all add their own unique flavor and health benefits, including anti-inflammatory properties and a boost of vitamins and antioxidants.

What is Tamari?

Tamari is like soy sauce but it is gluten free. The difference in Tamari and soy sauce is that Tamari is typically gluten-free and contains little or no wheat. This makes Tamari an excellent option for people with gluten sensitivities or allergies.

If you do not have Tamari on hand, and do not have a gluten sensitivity, soy sauce can be used in this recipe.
