One other reason, which was a happy surprise for me, is how good my joints feel! Seriously, after drinking this daily for about 4 weeks straight, I started to notice that my knees don’t hurt anymore. You see, I am a sufferer of “Runner’s Knee” which makes it painful to do certain exercises like squats and lunges. However, I am happy to say that I have been squatting and lunging all over the place; I can’t be stopped! There is no more grinding sound in my knees when I go up the stairs anymore… none!

How to make Ginger Turmeric Immunity Boost Shots

Don’t be afraid to bust out the juicer! I use an Omega masticating juicer and I love it; juicing has never been more delicious! The Omega is really easy to use and very easy to clean. I have had mine for about 7 years and it’s still going strong; well worth the investment. Juicing the ingredients together is the most efficient way to get all the immune-boosting power into your system. Start by combining fresh ginger root and turmeric root with lemon juice, honey, and optional black pepper or cinnamon. You’ll definitely be able to taste the ginger and turmeric—but don’t worry if it’s too intense; I mellow it out with some purified water. With this combination of ingredients you’ve now created an immunity powerhouse that will help keep those nasty winter viruses away!

Where to find Fresh Turmeric Root

Whether you’re looking to add some vibrant color to your cooking or to transform an aching joint, it seems like everyone is on the hunt for turmeric these days. Fortunately, this health-giving spice can be found in many places. If you’re after health food store quality and organic varieties in particular, then health food stores or Whole Foods are probably your best bet. Alternatively, if you just want something that packs a good punch of flavor right away, then try a well stocked grocer. You’d be surprised at how much their shelves may be holding! Even Amazon offers fresh Turmeric these days! Either way, getting your hands on some turmeric shouldn’t be too difficult any more.
